Hi there...
We've been recieving some wonderful feedback

...he is doing better with each passing hour. he is outside right now sitting on the back porch with the other two dogs. Inside he is a little more jumpy around them,..but we have been playing frequently today to get him use to them being physically around them. I had to carry him down the stairs last night because he wouldn't come down with any sort of incentive but would sit at the top and cry when I was out of site. I'm sure he'll figure it out soon. When I went to the dr. today I blocked him in the laundry room which is right off the kitchen. When I got home he was out and the high baby gate had not been moved and he had pulled over the trash can and eaten a few pieces of prime rib fat that I had thrown away , but not touched anything else. Not sure if the meat is what made him do it or perhaps he didn't care for the Kenny chesney CD I left playing for him. HE did finally eat some dog food and hopefully he'll keep it down as he threw up twice last night. My son Justin who is almost 5 is the one who is autistic. he started talking last year and anything that makes him take more notice of his surroundings is a good thing. He is getting a big kick out of Beemer following him around. If justin goes outside, Beemer crys at the door wanting out to be with him. I think they will be good for each other. By the time I am finishing this note he is laying beside bourbon with no problems  :-)

Beemer is doing good. The "scared of his own shadow" thing seemed to leave after about 48 hrs. He really likes our dogs now and cries to be with them. He nuzzles Bourbon like a pup would to it's mom. He is really laid back and that is the best thing. When he plays,..he plays,.. and when everyone else settle down,..he does too. We've had a young dog that was constantly going every waking hour and that was exhausting. I took him for a walk last night and within 5 mins he was heeling at my side - loose leash - walking like a pro. His left leg limping comes and goes but is mostly unnoticeable. Our only challenge that remains is the stairs - the 3 out to the garage and the basement. He comes up,..but will not go down. He'll get it soon I'm sure. I have also been impressed with the way he acts around food - not a beggar and that is nice. You guys did a good job ;-)

Got the stairs figure out in a couple days with the help of some rotisserie chicken ;-)
His only major issue seems to be his fear of strange dogs. On our nightly walks if a dog is across the street then he gives a ferocious bark - but if one approaches us he freaks out and does his "hit by a car " yelps that reverberate through out a quiet neighborhood!
